Network O&M Engineer

Infrastructure Department Remote / Singapore Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Expert-level Incident Response: Act as the highest level (Escalation) support expert for complex network issues. Rapidly respond to and troubleshoot difficult network faults across public clouds (Azure) and Data Center Interconnects (DCI).
  • Incident Review and Optimization: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major network outages, formulate detailed review reports, and drive the comprehensive implementation of improvement plans to enhance overall network availability.
  • Traffic Engineering and Policy Management: Responsible for the planning and implementation of core network routing policies, executing precise network traffic engineering and optimization.
  • Cloud-Network Integration Operations: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of cloud-native network architectures based on the Microsoft Azure platform. Solve complex network connectivity issues between on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Network Automation Development: Address daily operational pain points by developing network automation tools using scripting languages, improving the efficiency of network configuration deployment, monitoring discovery, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in network construction and operations within large-scale internet, financial, or cloud service providers. Extensive hands-on experience in live network troubleshooting.
  • Vendor Equipment: Proficient in the architecture and advanced configuration of mainstream network vendor equipment, including Cisco (IOS/NX-OS/XR), Juniper (Junos), and Arista (EOS).
  • Network Protocols: Solid foundation in computer networks with a deep understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack. In-depth understanding and proficiency in configuring large-scale routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS).
  • Virtualization & Tunneling: Proficient in cutting-edge Data Center and WAN technologies, including but not limited to VXLAN, EVPN, MPLS, IPsec VPN, and other network virtualization and tunneling technologies.
  • System & Packet Analysis: Familiar with the underlying network principles of the Linux operating system. Proficient in using packet capture tools such as TCPdump and Wireshark for deep, packet-level network troubleshooting.
  • Public Cloud Experience: Familiar with the infrastructure of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, with practical operational experience in Azure network components (e.g., VNet, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, VPN Gateway).
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in at least one programming language among Python, Shell, or Go. Experience in network automation (NetDevOps) development is highly preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE, or equivalent expert-level network certifications.
  • Official Azure-related certifications (e.g., AZ-700: Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions).
